After several months of waiting, hoping and watching local and state decisions as it relates to youth sports and COVID guidance and compliance, the Chino Hills Little League Board has made the very difficult decision to postpone the 2020 spring season indefinitely. 

Many factors have and continue to play a role in this very difficult decision. Extended closures at Community Park, in Chino Hills, & within the State of California have prevented youth sports from gathering, practicing, or hosting games since March. The State of California COVID-19 INDUSTRY GUIDANCE on organized youth sport activities has only recently authorized practices and conditioning, yet games and tournaments are still prohibited. While team practices could resume, our partner league, Canyon Hills cancelled their season last month. We also must take into consideration the fact that some of our players may now be aged out of their Spring 2020 divisions.

The health, safety, and well-being of all our participants, player families, coaches, umpires, and field staff are of the utmost importance. As a board of directors, we do not think it is fair to our families to continue the season when only practices are permitted, nor is is fair to continue to wait to see if games will be permitted in the near future. 

The board has been in communication with coaches over the last several weeks regarding equipment return and refund/credit for players. More information regarding refunds or credit rollover will follow in the coming weeks. 

With the continued uncertainty, in August, the Board of Directors voted to not move forward with a fall season. Because of that decision, the City of Chino Hills did not provide field allocations to Chino Hills Little League.
